Group Strategy Director 2003 – 2005

As Group Strategy Director, I headed up the Business Planning Unit, the communications planning function in the agency and was responsible for the strategic output across the BLM Group (including digital, sports marketing, advertising creative as well as traditional media). My department's remit covered i360 channel planning, account planning, ideas generation, data planning modelling and research.
During my tenure BLM became the most awarded and by Campaign scoring, the most strategic media agency in the UK. I contributed to their winning the Grand Prix at the Media Week Awards for Pathe films, 2 Gold IPA Effectiveness Awards for Round Up Weedkiller, Channel 4 TV Planning Award for Hornby and the Campaign Media Award for Best Total Communication Programme for Maxim. In 2005, I was ranked in the UK’s Campaign magazine as one of the “Top Ten Best Media Thinkers”.
