APAC Head of Communications Planning 2006-2009

I spent close to 4 years heading up communication planning for the whole of the Asia Pacific region. As the Regional CEO’s “right hand man” I was responsible for transforming the quality of the agency work to make the 1,400+ staff think like comms planers as opposed to media buyers, paving the way for increased digitisation of the business.
The role included preparation, presentation and dissemination of thought leadership, contribution to, as well as training staff and clients in our communication planning process – over 1000 staff and clients attended these training sessions; facilitation of comms planning & ideation workshops; acting as network representative, regional lead or pitch doctor on all major pitches local, regional and global.
This helped ZenithOptimedia top the Media Magazine (now Campaign Asia) new business league in 2007, win runner up Regional Media Agency of the Year in 2008 and win 80+ major media awards across the region.
